In our lives as Christians, worship of God is one of the most important things that we do together. Our worship involves joining in spoken prayer as well as sung prayer. Tradition says that Augustine of Hippo said, “To sing is to pray twice.” Perhaps it’s not praying twice but it certainly is prayer. We know Jesus and His disciples sang as evidenced in Matthew 26:30 – “Then, after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.”
Clover Hill choir members are disciples who share faith and express the love of God and neighbor through music.
By providing inspirational music that reinforces the Gospel message, the choir invites more prayerful and active participation in Worship. Their primary function is to pray and to assist the congregation in enhancing our worship of God through hymns and inspired songs.
The choir meets on Sunday at 9:00 AM, usually September until Pentecost. All are welcome. Come make a joyful noise to the Lord.
