How does an author tell an “untellable” story? How do accounts capture our harsh world of increasing controversy? How do we respond when societal values clash with religious teachings? Why has art become contentious?

Selections include four readings, one for each week’s conversations.

Week three and four selections will be copied and provided.
Our plan is to meet once a week for four consecutive weeks the last two weeks of September and the first two of October.
Details will follow if there is a quick response. The time of Sunday after worship is proposed.
Participants need to obtain a copy of Night (attached is clip art of the book cover) for the first session. Bibles can be borrowed from CHRC for reading The Book of Job.
Selections should be read for participation.

August 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day. As part of the campaign to call attention to this deadly scourge, we have joined other area churches and municipalities in displaying flags placed by Community in Crisis. There will be signage at the church throughout the month of September which is designated as National Recovery Month. Please join us in praying for all of the individuals and families impacted. This is a plague that knows no boundaries.

Location: Nevius Fellowship Hall or behind the parsonage, weather permitting (bring a chair) Bring: something to drink, your lunch, and yourself.
An opening prayer, 15 minute discussion on Bible/religious topic, fellowship, closing prayer will be provided to deepen our experience together. Church has Left the Building is back! On Sunday, April 30th 10:00 am, you are invited to put your faith into action with the communities of faith at Neshanic, Clover Hill and Three Bridges Reformed Churches by changing up your Sunday morning routine by serving our neighbors through a variety of service projects. Take a look, ask some questions, and find a way to love your neighbor as God first loved you!
Gary Tully and I were talking and he shared an interesting anecdote from the television show Yellowstone. It was said, "the answer to prayer can be three things: yes, not now, or I have another plan." Let's talk about talking to God and God talking to us. Let's talk about God's plans and our plans. (And we'll also talk a bit about the sermon and any other questions we want to kick around.)
After Easter, we'll gather for two more weeks of "Coffee with Jesus."
