SHIP: “Breakfasts For SHIP “began in 2025 when a member of the congregation felt a call to reach out to SHIP (Samaritan Interim Homeless Program ) in Somerville , NJ. She began to supply morning breakfast items for those (homeless) who meet there weekdays for coffee in the morning. It has grown through her vision and efforts to include hot breakfast items and assorted fruit and breakfast bars. In addition, the consistory and congregation can now help to support and sustain her very worthwhile work through donations of food items and breakfast meals.
Fisherman’s Mark: This organization provides responsive programs and services that promote stability, health, and education. Fisherman’s Mark is an advocate for positive change in the lives of our neighbors, in Lambertville, and the surrounding areas of Bucks and Hunterdon counties.
In 2025, we organized a toy and clothing collection which enabled grandparents an opportunity to choose Christmas gifts for their grandchildren as well as a pet food drive. Our service team assembled a group and enjoyed some fellowship while making soup for the surrounding communities.
The Trenton Rescue Mission: Their ultimate goal, while working in the Trenton area, is to help put an end to homeless - one person at a time.
The service team put together an outer ware clothing drive which included coats, hats, scarves and gloves.
The Community Assistance Network CAN (Hillsborough Food Pantry) and the Flemington Area Food Pantry: These organizations provide food to our local communities. During the year 2025 we ran a continuous food drive through collection boxes in our Narthax. Food was delivered to each of these organizations on a regular basis.
