Throughout the year our Youth Group is involved in many different mission projects in many different ways. We raise money, collect goods and provide the energy to help people locally and worldwide. Here are just a few of the mission projects we’ve been involved with:
  • Reformed Church World Services
  • SHIP
  • Yard cleanup and leaf raking for elderly church members
  • Church service projects
  • Women's Crisis Services of Hunterdon County.
  • Child Reach - Through the Youth Group’s monthly group donation, we are providing the essentials for Luckenson Civil, a 12-year old from Haiti.
In May 2003, the Youth Group started a mission program called Childreach. It is a mission to help a needy child through our monthly donation of $24.00.

Luckenson Civil was born on May 29th, 1995. He lives in Haiti located on the eastern end of Hispaniola, slightly smaller than Maryland.  It's bordered to the west by the Dominican Republic.  Haiti is the Western Hemisphere's poorest country.  The language spoken there is French, Creole. Luckenson religion is Islam and he enjoys drawing, painting and music. He travels to school by foot which takes him about 30 minutes. His family uses a hole in the ground for toilet facilities and the water is not safe to drink due to lack of appropriate treatment; the nearest health facility is about 40 minutes away.

Along with our monthly donation, we send him small gift items for his birthday and at Christmas time.  We also keep in touch with him throughout the year with letters. Anything we send, we know is helping improve his life.
